Sports injuries (trauma) and disorders caused by overuse are treated by sports orthopedic surgery. This is one of the treatments provided at our clinic.

In addition to diagnosing and treating injuries, we prioritize understanding why a certain part of the body is under stress and how to prevent it from happening again. Doctors and physical therapists work together to progress treatment, rehabilitation, and return to competition. This service is not limited to students participating in sports or those who want to continue exercising for fun.

List of sports injuries and disabilities

膝 – anterior cruciate ligament injury – Jumpers knee, runner knee

Elbows and shoulders – Baseball elbow – Tennis elbow and golf elbow – Dislocation of the shoulder joint (the shoulder dislocates and repeats)

Legs and calves – An ankle sprain – Shinsprint (pain in the shin) – Stress fracture

Muscles – Muscle strain

Return to competition – Rehabilitation for returning to competition

Sports injuries in children during growth

In growing bones, there is cartilage in the end of the bone (end plate) in the growth phase. It is weaker than adult bones, and when strong loads are applied, fractures, inflammation, and tearing injuries can occur. In addition, muscles and tendons cannot keep up with bone growth, and many disorders occur due to pulling forces.

At our clinic, we check the condition through a consultation and examination, X-rays and ultrasound (echocardiography), and if necessary, we determine the growth stage based on bone age. Our physiotherapist checks the posture, flexibility, and body movements, and teaches exercises to prevent recurrence. For athletes in the growth phase, we work with their parents to share information as well.
