Participated in the 49th Meguro Citizens' Festival!

Hello, this is Ikejiri-Ohashi Sera Clinic.

The other day,loco clinicWe participated in the 49th Meguro Citizens' Festival as a member of the "Meguro Karada Base" after being invited by Dr. Seta of the "Meguro Karada Base".

Under clear autumn skies, the venue was bustling with people, full of smiles and energy.
It was also a wonderful day to enjoy learning about the “body” with local residents!

What is Meguro Body Base?

This project is,Cooperation between community-based medical institutions and governmentThe goal of this initiative is to "increase interest in health in Meguro-ku" and "create new connections between medical institutions and residents.

Our staff was in charge of the "wheelchair/crutches experience!
Many participants were pleased with the opportunity to actually use mobility aids that they do not usually have a chance to come into contact with, saying that they could understand the positions of both the caregiver and the recipient.

There were also a variety of other hands-on areas!

  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (BLS) mini training & AED experience
     Under the guidance of medical professionals, the students learned the flow of primary life-saving procedures.
  • White coat experience & photo shoot
     Very popular among children! Many little "future doctors" were born.
  • Stethoscope and tympanic membrane observation experience
     Everyone was curious to actually hear the heartbeat of themselves and their family members!
  • Portable Echo Experience
     A unique project to look inside your body with ultrasound.
  • Simulation experience of endoscope operation
     Some of the students' dreams for the future grew as they learned about the mechanisms of medical equipment.

Together with Meguro Ward and neighboring communities

Through this event, we talked to many people, and some of them said that it gave them an opportunity to think about their health.
The entire staff will continue to value these activities as a community-based medical institution.
